The Kliek - links

Almost everyone in the Kliek was at the time also involved in one or more other bands that were in the small Amsterdam sixties scene of the 1980s and 1990s. A number of those bands have an internet presence as well. Here you find links to them, plus a number of sites of lesser direct relevance. Should you have a site, or know one that is connected with the Kliek in anyway, and it is not on this list: let me know sothat I can add it. n

Related sites / bands

• Gert Veltink's Kliek page. Gert used to be the Kliek's bassplayer for a long time. A number of photographs and a discography that has served as the basis for my own discography page can be found here.
• the Exist. Gert also has a larger page on the band he was in before he joined the Kliek. Zjenja Guberman played drums in the Exist as well.
• the Treble Spankers. The other band of Marcel Kruup. It started as a joke, but slowly it became much bigger than the Kliek ever was.
• Big Paulus. In this band we find Theo Brouwer and Frank Sloos, rhythmsection of the Kliek at the time band called it quits. Frank was also drummer in the Treble Spankers. Nice site, but you need a recent browser if you don't want to miss the details.
• Kek '66. My own Kek page. Robert Müter's new band with Zjenja Guberman playing drums. Great band, and a great site ofcourse ;-)

Money to spend?

• Guerssen records. Sympathetic small Spanish recordcompany that has a large collection of Kliek material in stock, plus general Nederbeat. The debutsingle by Kek '66 was released here.
• Distortion records. A recordshop in the Amsterdams Jordaan-neighbourhood. Ex-Kliek members make sure that Kliek albums and singles can be bought here.
• Kek '66 at Vitaminic. A new initiative where bands can promote their music and make MP3's of their songs available, all legal, for free or for a small donation.
